An expert in design-build projects, Stephens is an experienced aviation leader, designer, planner, and technical architect focused on project management. He has led and managed projects nationwide, including for the Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Atlanta, Austin, Nashville, and Seattle international airports. Internationally, he has planned, programmed, and designed airports in China, Europe, and Africa.
“Airport projects require creative thinking and technical innovation to design world-class facilities,” Stephens said. “I’m excited to collaborate with my new team members at HOK to create inspired design solutions that solve complex airport challenges.”
An architect, designer, and educator, Stephens serves as an Architectural Advisor at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was previously an adjunct professor and subject matter expert at North Carolina State University’s College of Design Airport Studio.
